Akon announced that its premier listing on the crypto exchange named Bittrex. Basing on the Stellar Network, Akoin will launch on Bittrex on November 11, it will allow the users to trade and transact with the user token.
Akoin project is a blockchain platform headed by the global artist Akon, who is committed to bringing a trusted digital currency to the countries in Africa that have suffered from weak and over-inflated fiat currencies that have prevented the citizens from accessing financial services.
The main objective is to improve the social opportunities and the connectedness for millions living in rural and remote regions of Africa who lacked the connection to the internet and is now the global economy. The project is to start in Senegal before it will be expanded across the continent.
Akoin Ecosystem has provided the token holder’s access to a wide range of decentralized apps (dApps) and apps, and the tools for entrepreneurs to associate, engage and scale business in the regions like Africa, all the while providing a positive social impact to its societies.
