Bitcoin payment provider BitPay has announced that the BitPay Prepaid card is now compatible with Apple Pay.
Cardholders in the U.S. can presently add the BitPay Prepaid Mastercard to Apple’s Wallet app to access the services. In order to include the card in their Apple Wallet, customers would need to have the updated version of the BitPay app.
Apple Pay Users Can Buy Products Using Cryptocurrencies
BitPay Prepaid Mastercard enables users to convert cryptocurrencies into fiat currency and load it onto the prepaid card for payments.

Customers can also use the card for online purchases and even withdraw the cash from any ATMs where Mastercard is accepted. Users can again instantly buy gift cards from hundreds of top retailers in-store and online.
In the news released, BitPay CEO Stephen Pair stated that:
“We have thousands of BitPay Wallet app customers using the BitPay Card who are always looking for new places and ways to spend their crypto. Adding Apple Pay and soon Google and Samsung Pay makes it easy and convenient to use the BitPay Card in more places from day-to-day items to luxury purchases.”
The BitPay wallet app itself enables users to buy, store, and pay for different cryptocurrencies. At present, it supports Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ether, and four stablecoins.
BitPay Planning to Add Google Pay, Samsung Pay
BitPay’s Pay integration appears to be part of a more extensive plan from the company to make the best out of the ongoing crypto bull run. The crypto payment service is also preparing to add support for Google Pay and Samsung Pay by the end of March.
Meantime, the prominent cryptocurrency, Bitcoin (BTC) price surged to new highs breaking $48,000 for the first time following Tesla’s $1.5 billion investment in Bitcoin.
