Bitcoin Awareness Game: A move to Popularize BTC

The Bitcoin Awareness Game is an enterprise that encourages people to share their Bitcoin stickers, signs, and logo worldwide; a move implemented to range the awareness of the cryptocurrency on a global level.

The crypto space has poured a lot of effort into the mainstream of digital assets. Attempts range from accepting the international standards about money laundering to offering Ethereum NFTs basing on Hollywood blockbusters. They are now having their intuitive scheme to spread the word about the crypto’s marquee asset: street art.

“We receive pictures from all over the world from Bitcoiners who want to earn some satoshis for spreading the word about Bitcoin,” said pretyflaco, the pseudonymous organizer of the Bitcoin Awareness Game.

The organizer says that the Bitcoin Awareness Game may also take Bitcoin’s relationship with art to another level. “Other Bitcoin artists had joined the Bitcoin Awareness Game with their designs that before were confined either to the internet or sold to private collectors,” further saying that “public places are the best place for art—where everyone can see it.”

What is the Bitcoin Awareness Game?

The objective of the Bitcoin Awareness Game is simple; to buy or print the group’s stickers and then spread them in public places around the world to aid the growth of Bitcoin’s global presence.

However, it is not an easy task; the participants were awarded for their efforts. Pretyflaco also states that more than 1.5M satoshis have been awarded to participants from Germany, the US, Romania, and New Zealand, to name a few. Contributors can also receive the satoshi rewards either through microlancer.io or the BTCStreetArt’s Telegram channel.

Aside from that, one of the goals of the community is to promote Bitcoin’s reputation. “Many people haven’t heard of Bitcoin. What’s worse, those who heard of Bitcoin enter one of the many misconceptions: Bitcoin is dead, it’s a money tool for criminals, it will never work, the list goes on,” the organizer said.

To encourage a better image for the popular crypto asset, the other participants have also come up with their iterations of the Bitcoin art, sending their creations to the BTCStreetArt Twitter account where the pictures are shared in the public.

One or more, the Bitcoin Awareness Game is also designed to get the people who aren’t in the crypto community to be engaged with the asset. “If 5 of 100 starts thinking about what they are reading on that sticker, that’s a great result,” pretyflaco detailed.

Though, sometimes the efforts produce many unexpected feedbacks.

Public resilience

The Bitcoin Awareness Game has been proven popular all over the world. However, not all those outside the crypto community appreciates the initiative.
