In the next two weeks, anyone that holds XRP will receive free Spark tokens.
Apart from HODLers on Coinbase, which didn’t sign up for the airdrop and is “likely too late” to accommodate it.
Flare Networks announced last November 13 that the Spark Airdrop Program for XRP holders would take place on December 12. Anyone that holds XRP will receive free tokens at a 1:1 ratio.
Airdrops are crypto giveaways, a way for developers that create buzz around the crypto project.
Wallets and crypto exchanges must upkeep the airdrop for their customers to receive free tokens. But if a wallet or exchange doesn’t support the airdrop, anyone that holds XRP will not be receiving any free Spark tokens.
Flare Networks wants all major crypto exchanges to support the airdrop:
But recently, Flare stated that Coinbase has “barely engaged with Flare Networks.”
Flare warned Coinbase users thru Twitter that they may miss out on the airdrop given that little time left for Coinbase to prepare for it.
Kraken has not yet joined the airdrop. But other major crypto exchanges like Binance expressed their readiness for the Flare snapshot on the XRP ledger.
That will happen to Coinbase users; they will miss out on the airdrop.
