In September, a white-hat hacker Samczsun has rescued nearly $10M in ETH from being stolen. He has now captured a job with Paradigm, a capital firm for crypto assets and the blockchain startups.
The co-founder and managing partner of Paradigm, Matt Huang, said that Samczsun would “bring his security and audit expertise to the portfolio.” That portfolio had already included the investments in the decentralized storage platform named Sia.
The Non-hackers may acknowledge the moniker from a September hacking operation where Samczun has discovered 25,000 ETH sitting in a defenseless smart contract that belongs to the DeFi Project Lien Finance.
Keeping in mind that the money was guaranteed to be stolen, Samczsun and associates worked to move the funds to security without drawing attention to the bots looking to exploit the smart contracts.
It is another bright hire for the Paradigm, co-founded by Huang and Coinbase co-founder Fred Ehrsam.
In July, Paradigm has welcomed Gus Coldebella, a former Acting General Counsel of the US Department of Homeland Security, as it is a general counsel. Coldbella has merged the government experience with crypto know-how, having previously served as the chief legal officer for Circle, which issues the USD Coin stablecoin and Coinbase.
